How verification works
Verification on ServicePros is layered. Providers can hold any combination of four independent badges, and listings highlight the strongest badge they have earned.
What the badge order means
A listing shows one badge: the strongest badge the provider holds. In order of strength, that is FICA, CIPC, Google, then Contact. A stronger badge does not remove weaker signals — it just means the listing leads with the most robust proof available.
Identity and proof of address verified (FICA).
We're building an in-dashboard submission and review flow for this badge. In the meantime, contact support if you'd like to start the process early.
Registered CIPC business verified.

Confirmed as a real, listed business on Google.
Account email address confirmed.
Not a verification badge
Pro is a paid ServicePros membership. It shows a provider has invested in extra tools on the platform — expanded galleries, profile customisation, analytics, and similar features. It does not confirm anything about the business itself, and it carries none of the weight of the four badges above: it isn't checked against contact details, a business registration, or an identity document.
A Pro badge never replaces a verification badge on a listing — the two are shown side by side. Pro membership also has no effect on search ranking or where a provider appears in results; it only unlocks account features.
Unverified listings are still useful, but their details are self-reported. A provider may still be genuine, but ServicePros has not independently confirmed their contact, registration or identity details yet.
How providers get verified
Contact verification is self-service from the provider dashboard — we send a code to the provider's account email to confirm it's live. CIPC and FICA verification (registered business details, and identity plus proof of address) are reviewed by the ServicePros team; providers can currently start these by contacting support, with an in-dashboard submission flow coming soon.
Google verification is added automatically when ServicePros matches a profile to an existing Google Places business listing. Providers do not apply for Google verification directly on our platform.
What verification does and does not guarantee
Verification confirms specific facts — a phone number, a registered business, or an identity document. It does not guarantee service quality, timeliness, or the exact outcome of the job.
If a verified provider misrepresents their work, message them first. If it cannot be resolved, report the problem and refer to our refund policy.
